Dance Group of the Peruvian Association of North Carolina

Objetivos del grupo:
• Contribuir con la difusión del folklore peruano a travéz de la danza, a modo de educar y exponer la cultura peruana a la comunidad de Carolina del Norte.
• Promover el conocimiento y valoración de nuestro patrimonio cultural en la comunidad peruana, como parte de una formación cívica , moral, artística y cultural.
• Contribuir a la promoción de la Asociación Peruana de Carolina del Norte, para lograr la integración y participación de la comunidad en actividades diversas con objeto de mantener nuestra identidad cultural.
• Promover y establecer camaraderia entre los miembros de la Agrupación de Danzas, mediante actividades cuturales, sociales y recreativas.

Objectives of the group:
• Contribute to the dissemination of Peruvian folklore through dance to educate and showcase the Peruvian culture to the community of North Carolina
• Promote the awareness and value of the Peruvian culture
• Contribute to the promotion of the Peruvian Association of North Carolina to increase membership and enhance community participation in various activities with the intention to maintain our cultural identity
• Promote and establish camaraderie among the members of the Dance Group through cultural activities, socials and recreation

Festival Internacional del 4 al 6 de Noviembre

The time has come....mark your calendars... The 2005 International Festival will be held Nov 4 to Nov 6 (Friday - Sunday) at the Graham Building and Dorton Arena (NC State Fairgrounds). You can find more helpful information at their web site: http://www.internationalfestival.org

Including the performance schedule. The ever-growing and ever-popular Dance Group of the Peruvian Association of North Carolina will be dancing at 12:30pm, Saturday, Nov 5, at the main stage. Do not miss this opportunity to see an excellent performance of Huaylas, Marinera, Tondero, and even Negroide!
